In 2024, S.A.L.P. S.p.A., together with Qapqa, commenced construction on the Sestino–Minerbio DN1200 Pipeline – Lot 5: Alfonsine–Minerbio for Snam Rete Gas in Emilia-Romagna, Italy. This critical 48-inch, 75-bar natural gas pipeline is part of the Adriatic Line network, developed to enhance Italy’s natural gas transmission capacity and ensure secure energy supply across the region.

Sestino–Minerbio DN1200 Pipeline – Lot 5: Alfonsine–Minerbio

The Lot 5 Alfonsine–Minerbio pipeline is a state-of-the-art 48-inch X65 steel pipeline, spanning approximately 40 km. The segment is designed for high-pressure gas transmission at 75 bar, providing a strategic connection within the Adriatic Line. Key technical highlights include:

• Use of Qapqa’s PWT AUTO XCS automatic welding system for high-precision, consistent welds across challenging pipeline terrain.
• Construction of a 40 km segment with wall thickness ranging from 16.10 to 18.90 mm, ensuring long-term structural integrity.
