Galfar built the ADNOC M21 Bypass Pipeline in Abu Dhabi

In 2020, Galfar Engineering & Contracting completed the ADNOC M21 Bypass Pipeline—a critical crude oil infrastructure project executed for ADNOC Onshore in Abu Dhabi. Designed as a backup to existing crude receiving stations at Jebel Dhanna and Fujairah, this strategic bypass supports continuous crude export operations across ADNOC’s production network.

ADNOC M21 Bypass Project

The bypass pipeline spans approximately 10 km and is built using X60 grade steel pipes with diameters of 32″ and 42″ and wall thicknesses of 15–17 mm. The project features advanced welding techniques, including:

  • Automatic root-pass welding without copper backing
  • Filling and capping using Advanced Pulsed Gas Metal Arc Welding (P-GMAW)
