Al Bawani commenced construction on the Master Gas System 3 – Package #09 for Saudi Aramco
In 2024, Al Bawani Water & Power Company (AWP) (Formerly A.Hak Pijpleidingen’s Saudi Arabia) in partnership with Qapqa commenced work on the Master Gas System 3 (MGS-3) – Package #09 for Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia. This critical pipeline development is part of Aramco’s large-scale expansion of the East-West Gas Pipeline network, designed to boost the capacity, reliability, and efficiency of natural gas transmission across the Kingdom. The project strengthens the backbone of Saudi Arabia’s energy infrastructure by integrating additional pipeline sections and enhancing connectivity across compressor stations.
About A.Hak Saudi Arabia & Albawani
A.Hak Saudi Arabia was a leading contractor specialized in the construction of pipelines for example for water, oil and gas. in 2022 Al Bawani acquired A.Hak to enhance Al Bawani’s capabilities in infrastructure development, leveraging A.Hak’s extensive experience with major clients such as Aramco, Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC), and the National Water Company (NWC). Al Bawani is one of Saudi Arabia’s fastest growing construction groups, delivering large-scale energy and infrastructure projects across the Kingdom.
Master Gas System 3 – Package #09
The Master Gas System 3 – Package #09 in Saudi Arabia is a strategic pipeline project that involves complex engineering, welding, and construction works across desert terrain. This package plays a vital role in expanding the East-West Pipeline system and enabling higher natural gas throughput. Key project highlights include:
- Construction of new high-pressure gas transmission pipelines to expand the MGS-3 network.
- Integration with Aramco’s East-West system, improving resilience and capacity for gas delivery across the Kingdom.
- Execution in harsh desert conditions, requiring advanced logistics, heat-resistant welding technologies, and strict safety measures.
- Deployment of automatic welding solutions to ensure consistent quality and productivity across large-diameter pipelines.
- Alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 goals to strengthen natural gas infrastructure and diversify the national energy mix.
By integrating Qapqa’s pipeline welding expertise and the advanced PWT XCS automatic welding system with Albawani’s strong regional capabilities, the Master Gas System 3 – Package #09 project strengthens Saudi Arabia’s gas transmission network and ensures reliable supply to meet the Kingdom’s rising industrial and residential energy demand.
