71 welded joints in one shift with Qapqa PWT auto XCS

Larsen & Toubro ended the year with another pipeline welding productivity benchmark with the Qapqa PWT Auto XCS welding system. This is the third productivity record in just 10 days!

Less than ten days after their previous achievement, our client Larsen & Toubro (L&T) raised the bar again on MGS-III Package #8 in Saudi Arabia.

On 23 December, in a single shift, the team completed 71 welded joints:
• 40 joints on 56” WT 14.27 mm
• 31 joints on 56” WT 17.65 mm

All welds passed AUT with zero repairs. This proves that high speed automatic welding does not compromise weld integrity or quality.

Breaking records three times in ten days is no coincidence. It’s the result of optimized welding parameters, disciplined execution, and seamless coordination between welding, NDT, and construction teams.
